ABSTRACT
This chapter asserts that to it 'makes for a good ending' and help readers learn from the experiences of story characters, encourage child authors to end their emerging stories with some supportive recommendations. Bowkett describes cliffhangers as a 'narrative device ends the scene or chapter at a dramatic moment, leaving the reader wanting more'. Singleton and Conrad define a plot twist as 'a radical change in the expected direction or outcome of the plot of a novel, film, television series, comic, video game, or other work of narrative'. Halloween approach was invite child authors to write a spooky-themed story involving ghosts, vampires, monsters and / or skeletons set in a haunted location. The chapter says to develop 'child authors' emerging story mark making / writing abilities by 'continuing the story' which is what a 'follow up' is all about!. It ends with the sixth collection of stimulating story writing ideas to engage child authors and enrich professional practices.
