ABSTRACT
Many people immediately begin the design process using computers. This approach has some advantages and they are addressed in the demonstration Using 3D Modeling as an Investigative Tool (p. 156). Yet using computers too early in the conceptual stage also limits possibilities. Understanding and mastering hybrid techniques gives the designer the ability to use the best tool at the right time.
