ABSTRACT

This book presents some of the concepts of the science that helps us to understand what children's development is made of. It explains children's individual development within the development of species, at genes, and how genes express themselves during children's development, at the hormone systems. To explain about this science, the author begins with a psychological model of how parenting rand child development fit together when he begins teaching developmental psychology. The child develops a sense of agency, a sense of control, and a sense of success. Later, he examines human beings seem to like to have their curiosity satisfied and to achieve a feeling of mastery as a result of having made a bit of an effort. The chapters includes some research not only about children, but also the evolution, the genetics, the epigenetics, the endocrinology, the neuroscience, the epidemiology, and the psychology.
