ABSTRACT

Chrisna du Plessis is a possibilities thinker, agent provocateur and unabashed idealist who likes to dabble in the arts when she is not trying to save the world from itself. She also happens to hold undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Architecture from the University of Pretoria, South Africa; a PhD in Urban Sustainability from the University of Salford, UK; and an honorary doctorate from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. She is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Construction Economics, University of Pretoria, where she teaches sustainable construction and explores what concepts such as resilience and regenerative design would mean for how we think about urban sustainability.
