ABSTRACT

How can survivors of conflict transition from a state of war to good reintegration, coming back together as communities of belonging once again? Forgiveness, foundational for a good life, is essential for this task, as it has direct bearing on the existence and quality of relationships between people (Willmer, 2003; Wright, 1996). Additionally, it is believed to have direct bearing on one’s well-being (Cohen, 2004); without it, peace of mind and agency are challenged (Care, 2002).
