ABSTRACT

This chapter explains systematic aspect and provide a step by step approach to conduct the analysis of an organization network. It also highlights effective network intervention methodology, and closes with a reflection on network ethics. The chapter based on a thorough analysis and understanding of high quality social network data. With data collection and the subsequent analysis and visualization, the interpretation phase is the moment to connect the network dots to the goal and objectives behind the network exercise. Prioritization happens in parallel with the design of additional interventions that help to build towards the objectives set out. Combining data about the organizational networks of different organizations in a cross-sectional research design demonstrates that these different individuals can be able to link up. New technologies, including the adaption of Enterprise Social Software (ESS), provide opportunities to map on organization networks specific innovation related topics. ESS includes corporate intranets and other software platforms aimed at enhancing productivity, improving communication.
