ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts of key concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book examines an analytical paradigm with a broad scope and good applicatory potential. The analytical paradigm to a range of psychological, cultural, social and political phenomena, from personal issues to the highest level of society's functioning: self-esteem and shame, lifestyle and relationships, creativity and self-expression, media, advertising, economy, political ideology and, most importantly, human identity and authenticity. The trickster metaphor is also applicable to a number of historical and political phenomena, including race, gender and sexuality, religion, freedom movements, street riots, political correctness, human conflict and even organisational politics. The trickster can be said to be participating in the process of acknowledging and managing repressed energy, recognising its existence and dealing with the underlying feelings of shame and ambition.
