ABSTRACT

A major event in Shakespeare’s play Henry VI, Part  2 is a popular rebellion against the crown and government. It took place in 1450, and its leader was one Jack Cade. In this scene, Cade is on the lookout for class enemies – people showing signs of privilege and education. Here is how he tries to identify the educated:
