ABSTRACT
Panjabi postpositions are, to a large extent, mirror images of their English counterparts. As the name clearly indicates, they follow the NP COMPLEMENTS in the postpositional phrases (PPs), but, as we shall see, a Panjabi postpositional phrase involving a compound postposition, is most often the literal translation of its English equivalent but is “read from the other end”.
