ABSTRACT
In Chapter 5, we mentioned four basic canonical clause patterns in Panjabi with triangles diagrammatically showing that NPs and VPs in them can be expanded and elaborated. We did not give any examples because the words and phrases they can be expanded and elaborated with were to be dealt with in the subsequent chapters. Now that we have done this, we can take up the subject here.
