ABSTRACT
The well-being of citizens and welfare state policies have been thought about historically mainly in national settings and understandings. Thus the international impact has been mainly related to any one country’s dependency on the economic development of other countries and how strongly their national economy was affected, and its impact upon the development of a national welfare state.
