ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a solution-focused coaching framework (ENABLE) that can be used to enhance the performance, development and wellbeing of individuals and teams. The ENABLE model could be applied to support teams on a range of development themes. Coaches and coaching psychologists are well placed to support the functioning of groups or teams to unlock their potential through the application of core skills and the use of coaching frameworks, an understanding of the psychology of group processes can further enhance our ability to support the group to function, perform and learn together more effectively. The chapter provides a case study to illustrate the application of the ENABLE framework in a team context. In this case, a coaching approach was applied to support a team of early years practitioners to develop their proficiency at providing for children with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN).
