ABSTRACT

This book explores how coaching can be applied in schools to enhance the performance, development and wellbeing of education practitioners. It also shows how the application of psychology can enrich and bring depth to coaching practice, providing a range of frameworks, principles and techniques that can support practitioners in schools to move towards their goals and achieve enhanced wellbeing. Coaching psychologists, potentially have much to offer to education in terms of supporting education practitioners and settings to unlock and maximize their potential for the benefit of the children they work with. In so doing, the capacity for sustainable improvement within and between schools will increase. The children only get one go through the education system, and they need the adults who work with them to be supported, challenged and enabled to be the best that they can be. Coaching psychology provides the people with means to make this vision a reality.
