ABSTRACT

Interpretation is probably the one aspect of industrial marketing research that cannot be taught but must be learned from experience and which must, in any event, be based upon intelligence and a knowledge of men and matters. The most that any book can do to guide the uninitiated is to break down the interpretation process into its constituent parts, indicate the talents and skill needed for, and the methods of, interpretation and mark the pitfalls of this process.
