ABSTRACT
In the last chapter we presented our definition of democracy where there are only two alternatives. In the present chapter we shall try to extend the definition to cases involving more than two alternatives. Democracy in this generalized setting may be formulated and analysed in various ways. In this book, we shall adopt the following ‘indirect approach’.
