ABSTRACT

In this book, we have sought to offer a framework that will assist in attempts to respond to these crucial, broad-ranging questions and concerns. Both the study and the practice of public health law require a capacity satisfactorily to address challenges that are not limited to pure legal analysis: social, political, economic, ethical, and professional understandings are essential. Only then is it possible to engage fully in debates on, and advance agendas concerning, specifi c matters such as alcohol regulation, pandemic planning, and/or sound occupational health.
