ABSTRACT

Administrative Justice unfortunately seldom has the same appeal to the average student of the English Legal System as Criminal Justice. The judges of the Tribunals Service are of three types: the lawyers, the specialist wing members and the lay members, who are no longer used in some jurisdictions owing to the need for economy. Court and the Tribunals Service, and in giving more detailed information on the process by which this is done and how the system works in general. The tribunals were intended to provide formal methods for resolving disputes within specialised tribunals that can deal with often technical decisions within cognate subject areas. The courts were clearly unsuitable for this task, and thus it was not long before the tribunals were obliged to shoulder the burden. Development over the decade and a half since the Labour Government decided to work on the tribunal system has been extensive.
