ABSTRACT

This discussion specifically seeks to determine what mind is considered to be in contemporary thought, what the mental processes are, what behavioral indicators are available as clues to the intrapersonal mental states, and what instruments and procedures can be used to measure behavior and thus mind. The larger or holistic constructs that have been used to describe mental processes such as perception, motivation, learning, and thinking, are identified. These are the major categories and also the units of the conceptual framework that provide order to the contemporary scientific science of mind-experimental psychology.
