ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the way of finding resources from carer's garage, the charity shop, a local scrap store or recycling centre, specialist stockists, pound shops, budget supermarkets that is used safely by small children. When building up their resource collection, they consider 'bash factor': a small paint brush takes lot less wear and tear from regular use by young children than a large paintbrush for use with emulsion paint. The simplest storage option is large plastic boxes with lids which can be bought at the pound shop or supermarket, and smaller, clean plastic food containers. Depending on carer's arrangement with site representative, they might be allowed to store all of their equipment on site or inside the building. Local tax offices run regular 'tax workshops' for people setting up a business. These workshops are free to attend and useful; a tax expert employed by Her Majesty's Revenues and Customs (HMRC) explains the rules as a sole trader or employing others.
