ABSTRACT
In previous chapters we have seen how the boys’ writing projects supported all children, boys and girls, to become writers, helping them to develop both compositional and transcriptional skills as they made connections between writing and all other curriculum areas. In this chapter, we explore how writing skills become embedded when children have opportunities to practise writing in cross-curricular learning, and we see how cross-curricular learning is supported by children’s developing writing skills.
