ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on how to track and composite 3D text into live footage using After Effects 3D Camera Tracker, CINEMA 4D Lite, and CINEWARE. The 3D Camera Tracker effect is applied to the layer and it automatically begins analyzing each frame of the video. Switch the camera from the default CINEMA 4D Camera to the Comp Camera in the CINEWARE effect. Go to the CINEWARE panel and change the Project Settings Camera option from CINEMA 4D Camera to Comp Camera using the drop-down menu. Click on the RAM Preview to see the final track and composite using the 3D Camera Tracker and CINEWARE effect. Use the 3D Camera Tracker in After Effects to record the camera's motion and then export the data directly to CINEMA 4D. The 3D Camera Tracker effect is applied to the layer and it automatically begins analyzing the video.
