ABSTRACT

The final section of a research article is the Discussion and Conclusion sections where researchers interpret their findings, make practical applications, and try to fit them into a big picture to answer their research questions. No matter what research design was used, no matter what type of data (verbal or numerical) were gathered, no matter how the data were analyzed (looking for patterns or statistics), researchers arrive at the same place: they have to make sense of what they found. They have to interpret their results and provide explanations, draw conclusions, and make applications. Therefore, after the abstract at the beginning of the study, this section is the most read part of the average study.
