ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the discussion and conclusion sections where researchers interpret their findings, make practical applications, and try to fit them into a big picture to answer their research questions. It focuses on to facilitate in developing the consumer's ability to discern whether researchers are making valid interpretations and conclusions based on their data, and whether appropriate applications are being suggested. The chapter explains what the Discussion and Conclusion sections are supposed to do, and then summarize a number of concerns to which the consumer should give attention. If the researchers use this term in their Discussion or Conclusion, they are not talking about statistical significance. The researchers used the Opinions Relative to Integration (ORI) instrument to collect their data and an additional demographic instrument. Overall, the researcher's comments matched their outcomes that appear in the results section, and their discussion did not embellish any of their findings.
