ABSTRACT

Even though scholars may recognize the importance of ethics for educational leaders, they have not yet been able to resolve how this subject can or should be taught. For example, should it be infused throughout the curriculum or should it be a discrete course? Alternatively, should both approaches be utilized? In addition, little research has been conducted on this question (Beck & Murphy, 1994b). However, it is exciting to note that more and more writings, both nationally and internationally, are appearing in the areas of ethical educational leadership, moral leadership, and values and leadership (e.g., Begley & Johansson, 2003; Branson & Gross, 2014; Duignan, 2007; Murphy, 2011; Shapiro & Gross, 2013; Starratt, 2004, 2009; Stefkovich, 2014).
