ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the various chapters of this book. The book introduces the following key points: social work management has evolved in recent years to become more businesslike and entrepreneurial: and social entrepreneurship is a growing phenomenon that combines business management skills with social work practice. It discusses the concept of talent management and an essential component of social work management. Talent management and financial management must be balanced in social work organizations due to frequently constrained resources and trade-offs that social work managers must make. The human resources or personnel of a social work organization should be viewed as talent and the process of managing these resources should be referred to as talent management. Social work is truly a service business in which the relationship between client and social worker is a key driver of a program's success.
