ABSTRACT

Clothing is one of the most easily recognizable and accessible

parts of any production and through it the audience can

connect with the characters on an intimate and familiar level.

As human beings, we all know what it is like to wear clothes

and we can easily relate to what they communicate about a

character, because we make our own clothing choices for many

of the same reasons a character might. As human beings, we

all understand the desire to want to look good in what we

are wearing, or to be comfortable. We have all experienced

dressing for work or to engage in a sport or other activity. We

have chosen an outfi t in order to impress or attract others.
