ABSTRACT
The dynamic forces on a site, from nature and from human habitation, often require systems built in response to these complex and often unpredictable flows. They are infrastructural systems, which control or channel the forces of flow and change, such as storm water management, electrical distribution, or street layout. Because these systems are much larger than a typical architectural project, they often fall under the purview of planners or independent authorities.
