ABSTRACT
Shipbuilding projects are generally large—even a small ship is a large undertaking by most industrial standards—and the design and production may be spread over several years. The production engineering and planning of these projects is therefore also a major task. The construction of a ship is also a very diverse operation, and covers a wide range of activities.
