Producing a product is only the first step in having a product strategy. Because consumers have so many products from which to choose, it is said that products have become commoditized. Convenience products are usually low cost for the consumer and low profit for the producer. Products that meet the same basic consumer need are said to be part of the same product line. The package becomes part of the art product. The producer should design the package so that it provides enough protection to ensure that the product. The terms that describe the unique characteristics of service products are perishability, inseparability, heterogeneity and intangibility. The product offers augmented benefits, which are usually additional services that are provided along with the product like customer service, warranties, delivery, financing. By purchasing a product with these ancillary attributes, the consumer will develop a more relationship with the creative entrepreneur Lack of differentiation of the products is called commoditization.
