ABSTRACT

Revealing an image a bit at a time can really engage a class. There are a number of methods of doing this, including using Word tables and Word shapes. The premise of this activity is simple. A picture is covered up and the teacher or class gradually reveal it, bit by bit. This can prompt great discussions, and focus attention on specific parts of visual texts. The examples used here are relatively simple. Once you’re familiar with the technique you can try making things more sophisticated.
