ABSTRACT

The study of organizations through the lens of networks will allow us to grasp some aspects related to the type of links established between the members of a Values-Based Organizations (VBOs) that might not be noticed right away. The goal before us is to understand complexity. To achieve that, it must move beyond structure and topology and start focusing on the dynamics that take place between the links. In order to understand better the dynamics triggered during times of crisis, it could be useful not only to identify the different kinds of people working in a VBO, but analyze also the semantics of relationships between them. The grammar does not correspond to the semantics of relationships within a community or an organization, especially when it comes to complex realities. Some bad decisions can result from the lack of good knowledge of the relationship's semantics within an organization.
