ABSTRACT

People's limits can drive them and can even determine their own particular style or method. Style is a byproduct of the intensity, compression, objectivity, subjectivity, sustained attention, gathering, ruminating, eliminating, arranging and finally expression of the artistic process. Style is an inevitable consequence of this activity in concert with the limitations confronted in the process. Art is a process and a journey. All artists have to find ways to lie to themselves, find ways to fool themselves into believing that what they are doing is good enough, the best they can do at that moment. Every work of art falls short of what the artist envisioned. Each people were born with strengths, weaknesses and limitations. Limits can also be consciously and methodically selected as a creative partner. Limits are a necessary partner in the creative act as well as in the crafting of a successful life.
