For reducing and enlarging it is easy to use the same standard formula used by quilters and other crafters. With the formula given in Chapter 12 , you can get the approximate size of your design. Note: it is recommended after reducing or enlarging patterns, to first build a mock-up with the newly scaled pieces before continuing with the final foam assembly. The mock-up will:
116Tell you if the overall shape is satisfactory and if you need to modify the pattern shapes or the beveling.
Tell you if you need to enlarge or reduce the pattern.
