ABSTRACT
In all cases, you decide on a target population, and then select people from it in such as way as to maximise the chances that the people who do your test are as representative as possible of the target population. People who have responded to a call for volunteers are not truly representative, so it is better to try and get a list or source of at least some of the population, sampIe randomly from that, and approach those selected.
