ABSTRACT
Is it possible to know people really quickly? Does their behavior give away their underlying intelligence and character? That is, does everyone have an essential self that shows through in their actions? In this view, some people are smarter than others and some people are more moral than others and if we watch them, we'll soon know who's who (see, e.g., Baron & Misovich, 1993).
