ABSTRACT

This chapter provides a positive termination experience. It provides to help children consolidate their ideas and feelings about their parents' separation and/or conflict. The chapter presents to help children consolidate their feelings of support gained from being in a group with others in similar situations. The children are comfortable and familiar with the group routine, and will eagerly show a feeling face, wanting the others to guess what the feeling word is and whether it is a big feeling or a small feeling. The group members practice their deep breathing, using the children's suggestions about what to 'smell' and 'blow'. Koko and Bunny participate in this and may also ask the children about other situations where the breathing or tight/loose muscle activity might be helpful to use, outside of the group. Koko and Bunny are included, with the leaders mentioning what they will remember about, and wish for, each puppet.
