ABSTRACT
The ancient name of this temple was Ta-het, “The Abode” or “ The Dwelling-place”. The dedication offers some difficulty, for Isis of Philae and Amon of Thebes and of Napata were equally worshipped; and the two shrines within the sanctuary show a double cult as at Kom Ombo (pl. XLVIII, 2).
