ABSTRACT
At Dendera, as at Karnak, one great temple with a group of subsidiary temples stand within a girdle wall. The dedication of the great temple is to Hathor, and the name “ Dendera” still retains the appellation of the cult object or fetish worshipped in the primitive shrine, Ta-ynt-netert, “ She of the goddess-pillar.”
