ABSTRACT
In this chapter I shall discuss the use of factor analysis in the construction of tests, which is another of its major uses in the fields of psychology and education especially. Actually, as shall be seen, understanding the use of factor analysis in test construction is of value to any test user in the social sciences since factor analytic tests are superior to those constructed by other methods.
