Most American managers, like their fellow countrymen, speak and read only in English, and know very little about the cultural traditions, history, religions, business practices, politics, or even geography of countries other than our own. History amply demonstrates how generous Americans can be with their time, talents, effort, and money when circumstances are sufficiently compelling and organized.
