ABSTRACT
This chapter details the research design and justifies the survey approach used in this project. It describes data collection, which includes sampling, the survey and follow-up, and the interview process. This chapter also explains the transformation of the survey data into variables used in the diffusion modeling and transformation of the interview data into qualitative narrative. Finally, the chapter identifies and addresses potential validity threats posed by the design of this research project.
