ABSTRACT
This chapter considers the complex issue of consent in a number of various forms. For the sake of clarity, it will be divided into three parts. In Part 1, we discuss the concept of consent and capacity of the competent adult, in Part 2 we investigate the issues of consent and the need for suffi cient information, and in Part 3 we explore consent as it relates to the incompetent adult.
