ABSTRACT
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 108(6), 114 and 146(1) and (2) of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted such persons as he thinks fi t, and draft Regulations having been approved by both Houses of Parliament, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation, commencement, extent and interpretation
1. - (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force at the end of the period of 8 weeks beginning with the day on which they are made (the “commencement date”).
