ABSTRACT
In the spring of 2012, only about £0.62 was required in exchange for $1.00 in markets
for foreign currencies. Exactly one year later, however, almost £0.67 had to be given up
in exchange for $1.00. Thus, the British pound depreciated by approximately 8 percent in
relation to the dollar.
