249The flow of water is often measured in time related to volume, speed or a particular practice. In this chapter, I ask what motivates different methods for measurements and what are the implications of measuring the water flow in universal units of microscopic time? Can absolute and standardized measurements of volumetric flow rates be used as indications of climate change?
