ABSTRACT
Among the Fulani living in northern Burkina Faso time depends upon which calendar is in use. Having three calendars, the Gregorian or Western calendar, the Hijri or Islamic calendar, and a traditional Fulani calendar, establishing when something took place or is going to take place is always a matter of discussion and clarification.
