ABSTRACT

For Mr. Michael Rotondi, religious architecture and secular architecture share a similar genesis from a deep and critical investigation into the human condition. And that led to Eastern philosophy and at the same time how to integrate it with the stuff he grew up with. Mr. Rotondi thinks when people are at ease, they have faith, they think it comes when they are in fear but that's not true. He says that when people see scientists who are looking at or debating the relationship between faith and reason or are becoming friends with the Dalai Lama, that's what's interesting. For Mr. Rotondi, religious projects offer an opportunity to learn more about important subjects and issues. Mr. Rotondi's work all contributes to a single purpose that teaching is the way he tend to relate to people, friends or strangers. Mr. Rotondi adds, materiality gets into how people get all the spectrum of colors to become one blazing line.
