ABSTRACT

Children grieve within the context of the family Loss impacts the entire family system. As part of this system, children learn about grief through observing, listening, and talking to their family members following an early loss. Ideally, a caregiver within the child's family will participate in an adult support group. Often groups are organized such that the caregivers attend a separate group during the same time that the children are participating in a group. The participation of the adults is important for several reasons.
