ABSTRACT

In beginning to organize a children’s grief group, it is important to contact and cooperate with other community agencies that may also be working with grieving children. This becomes more necessary in a smaller community than in a larger metropolitan area in order to avoid duplication of services available for grieving children. Once you have contacted other community agencies and determined who will facilitate the group, a helpful procedure is to meet with other professionals who are involved with children or children’s groups to make them aware of the program and to share ideas.
