ABSTRACT

While the accommodations described in the previous chapter can be helpful for many ADD students, often additional interventions will be needed to enhance academic performance and student behavior. This chapter is designed to provide teachers with the step-by-step information they will need to be able to implement a variety of helpful interventions in their classrooms. These interventions should be effective in assisting teachers to solve the common problems that students with ADD present in school. We have tried to provide a sufficient variety of interventions in the knowledge that not every ADD student will respond successfully to the same approach. Teachers will, hopefully, have enough variety to choose from so they can implement those interventions which fit their teaching style best.
